Our first ever chart placing- up to number 23 over 3 weeks in Sounds’ (weekly music paper’s) ‘alternative’ chart. (Spizz, still going strong in 2024, has three records in the chart above us). I think too that’s the first time we’ve been ‘alternative’. In 2023 Robyn returned to the Portland Arms in Cambridge (accompanied by Morris, Lee Cave-Berry and myself) and was advertised by the Portland as ‘Alt Rock’ (the term ‘alternative’ soon needed shortening). Is the longest time (43 years) anyone’s ever been alternative?
(In the Portland’s monthly program, we were the only item listed as Alt Rock).
