Holly Vincent (of Holly and the Italians) likes us.
The demise of the Radar label is reported in April 1980. Our single ‘I want to be an Anglepoise Lamp’ appeared on the Radar label in March 1978- over the next few months Radar organised and paid for various further recording sessions- nothing more was released. No cash advanced to any Soft Boys- always very much a matter of sleeping on people’s floors, taking odd jobs like temporary Christmas postman etc- before, during and after the brief association with the Radar label.
A photocopy of a photo of Alex Chilton, Morris, Matthew and Knox (of the Vibrators)- these last three accompanied the lead singer of the Box Tops (and Big Star) at a solitary gig at Dingwall’s (Camden). I don’t remember them playing ‘The Letter’.
